Improving Smiles With Custom Crowns And Bridges

dallas crowns and bridges

We offer dental restoration to not only repair teeth and replace missing ones, but to do so with a natural-looking appearance that inspires confidence in our patients. We can custom-make your crowns and bridges from lifelike materials like ceramic and porcelain. Our Dallas, TX, dentist office is ready to improve your smile with stunning results!

Our Dental Restorations

A dental crown is a restoration that caps the tooth, fitting over the visible portion to address minor or serious restorative concerns. For example, we could repair cracked, chipped, or broken teeth, or lengthen structures worn down by teeth grinding. We also address misshapen teeth and help boost the overall balance of your bite. We can use materials like all-porcelain or ceramic for the front facing teeth, as this is one of the most lifelike materials available, but one that can still handle daily bite forces. The side and rear teeth must endure great bite forces and pressures, so we may use porcelain-fused-to-metal or zirconia, which can again be shaded to blend with your smile and offer a natural appearance.

Dental Bridges

If you have minor tooth loss, between one and three lost teeth in a row, then our team could create dental bridges to offer a lifelike appearance and provide a durable chewing surface, with results that can last for up to 15 years in many cases. Bridges contain the replacement teeth with crowns connected to one or both sides. We place the crowns on the abutment teeth, the ones on each side of the space in your smile. They’re easy to clean and don’t need to be removed, providing a fixed and lifelike solution to missing teeth.

Creating Your Restoration/Prosthetic

How do we create a crown or a bridge for your smile? First, we need to prepare the teeth being treated. For the crown, we remove structure from the tooth being treated and for a bridge, the abutment teeth. This makes room for the restoration. We gather detailed digital images and measurements of these prepared teeth, which we use in a dental lab setting to design and fabricate the final product. As stated above, we use lifelike materials when possible to ensure esthetically-pleasing results. We then connect them with a powerful bonding agent, so they can last for years to come.

If you have a tooth in need of dental repair, or if you have tooth loss, then contact our team to discuss a natural-looking and durable solution.
